{Recipes} IHOP Pancakes Recipe!

We LOVE the IHOP...
and their pancakes are fantastic. For many years, I have been on a quest to find a "near restaurant recipe" for pancakes. Well that quest ended when we found this recipe from "America's Most wanted Recipes" Book. I immediately had to try them. They live up to their name! We were so pleasantly surprised with the results. I immediately tossed out all other pancake recipes before it...called off the search party...and crowned this "the perfect pancake". Not only did the pancakes get crowned...but my children dubbed me "their HERO"...Mommy can make us our restaurant favorite! Score! LOL!

IHOP Pancakes:

1 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 cup buttermilk (if you do not have buttermilk on hand...you can use tin milk evaporated and 1 tbsp + 1/2 tsp of vinegar...bot result in the same YUM!)
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup sugar

Mix dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix together egg and buttermilk. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients. Mix together melted butter and sugar and combine with the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. Grease griddle and cook pancakes over medium heat, flipping when bubbles appear on the surface of the batter. Serve with softened butter and warmed syrup.
